School Buses Recalled over Faulty Seats
As an attorney Seattle, I’m always concerned with people’s safety. Staying on top of the recall news is very important to me. In accordance with recent news, certain school buses manufactured by Trans Tech are being recalled.
Trans Tech has issued this recall of specific models of school buses since they were produced with an AC.E White Cushion seat that may not be functioning properly. This problem could pose a severe threat to children.
The recalled buses were produced between May 2010 and July 2011 and the issue behind this recall lies in the self-latching item present on the faulty seat. According to the news, this item won’t react properly when a crash occurs.
If the seat isn’t latched accordingly, it could flip up and be misplaced out of its proper position, which could cause severe injuries to passengers. I’m glad that no injuries or accidents have been linked to these recalled school buses.
I urge bus owners to check their vehicles for the recalled model and follow the instructions from the company if you own one of the over three hundred affected vehicles.
